Canon EF 50mm f1.4 USM Lens

This compact prime lens from Canon is incredibly popular amongst all EOS users and has a reputation for providing excellent "bang for your buck" value. The common 50mm focal length is a favourite for a day to day fixed focal length and will often be d inferior quality zoom lenses. The large f1.4 maximum aperture cannot be challenged by a zoom lens within this budget and it finds you well poised to tackle low-light conditions, such as dawn or dusk and it opens the door for adventures into depth of field control.

Suitable for use on both full-frame and APS-C format Digital SLR cameras, the Canon EF 50mm f1.4 USM lens provides an 85mm equivalent focal length on the smaller format, with this more magnified length offering an even tighter crop. This makes head and shoulder portraits a breeze to capture.

Although it is built strong and sturdy, this lens is small and light, benefiting users of entry and mid-level bodies by delivering a more portable kit, that still brings the goods photographically.
